About the position

The Executive Producer, Photography at PXP plays a vital role in overseeing the entire production process from creative conception to execution. This position requires a proactive leader who can foster relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring high-quality photography projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and operational excellence, making it essential for the candidate to have strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Head of Studio (HOS) in development and growth for new and existing clients, including capabilities presentations, onboarding, and relationship building.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact with clients, agency partners, and internal teams to plan and deliver photography projects.
  • Works directly with internal and client teams, including Creative, Photographers, Crew, and Account Management on the planning and execution of productions.
  • Negotiates and books production talent as needed.
  • Coordinates all production needs and logistics with team members.
  • Executes production workflows based on client needs, ensuring execution of creative to the brief.
  • Reviews, bids, and manages scope of work throughout the life cycle of a job.
  • Ensures productions are delivered within budget and on-time.
  • Responsible for the financial health and reconciliation of jobs.
  • Creates a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Drives creative and operational excellence across the team, developing the next generation of content production leadership.
  • Partners with inventory to ensure product is received as needed for production.
  • Stays up to date on industry trends, talent, and equipment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Photo Producer Role, experience in studio and on location.
  • Strong knowledge of creative and production processes.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and budget management skills.
  • Financial acumen.
  • Ability to think quickly and juggle multiple projects.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage a great deal of detailed information.
  • Focused on team development and leadership presence.
  • Customer-service oriented, attuned to client needs while building and strengthening these relationships.
  • Critical thinker, using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to opportunities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Expertise in food, CPG and lifestyle productions.
