Executive Protection Specialist

About the position

The Executive Protection Specialist at Johnson & Johnson is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficient transport of senior leadership and management. This role involves planning safe travel routes, conducting security checks at venues, and maintaining confidentiality regarding executive information. The specialist must be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide protection in high-profile situations, ensuring the well-being of executives during their transportation and at events.

Responsibilities

• Transport executives and visitors to and from corporate facilities and events.
• Maintain good interpersonal skills to interact with senior executives and greet visitors.
• Identify and avoid potential hazardous situations, providing cover and removing passengers from harm.
• Establish and maintain an identification code system for emergencies.
• Communicate schedule information to administrative assistants as requested.
• Conduct pre-trip advanced security checks of venues, identifying security and safety risks.
• Review and implement plans for Executive Protection during events.
• Handle disruptions such as protests at meetings or events.
• Assign event staff for post-meeting room sweeps for property and confidential information.
• Ensure compliance with Information Asset Protection Policy guidelines.
• Follow company safety procedures regarding vehicle use and maintenance.
• Attend defensive driver training and maintain a valid firearm permit.
• Respond to emergencies affecting executives under protection.
• Administer CPR and use a Heart Defibrillator in emergencies.
• Perform miscellaneous transport service requests.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Must reside in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania).
• Valid state driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Highly technical driving skills and knowledge of driving regulations.
• Ability to function in high-profile situations with sound judgment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills to prioritize Executive's requests.
• Excellent physical condition, including vision correctable to 20/40 and good hearing.

Nice-to-haves

• A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
• Prior law enforcement and/or Executive Protection experience.
