About the position

The Executive Recruiter at Northwestern Mutual is a pivotal role responsible for spearheading recruitment efforts for the Network and district offices in West Michigan. This position requires a proactive approach to sourcing, identifying, and selecting top talent for the financial advisor career path. The Executive Recruiter will engage with the community, acting as a brand ambassador for Northwestern Mutual, and will be instrumental in generating leads for qualified candidates through various community engagement initiatives and networking opportunities. In this role, the Executive Recruiter will assess candidates to ensure they align with both the career requirements and the cultural fit of the organization. The recruiter will guide and support candidates throughout the entire recruitment experience, collaborating closely with executive leadership to ensure a seamless process. Tracking weekly recruitment activities and maintaining candidate databases will be essential to monitor progress and effectiveness in sourcing talent. Additionally, the Executive Recruiter will intentionally create opportunities to connect with high-level talent and engage with the community to promote the office and the company brand. This role demands a strong ability to recruit from a position of strength, ensuring a full and high-quality pipeline of candidates. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the recruitment goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Generates leads for qualified candidates through community engagement and networking.
  • Assesses candidates to ensure strong career and cultural fit.
  • Guides and supports candidates through the full recruitment experience in partnership with executive leadership.
  • Tracks weekly recruitment activity and maintains candidate databases.
  • Actively participates in the community as a brand ambassador for Northwestern Mutual of West Michigan.
  • Intentionally creates opportunities to connect high-level talent.
  • Engages with the community to promote the office and company brand.
  • Recruits from a position of strength by maintaining a full and high-quality pipeline.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of recruiting, sales, marketing, customer service, and/or other transferable experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, self-starter.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong listening skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Exceptional at networking and building relationships.
