About The Position

Heidrick & Struggles is seeking an Executive Search Associate who will play a critical role in the execution of all facets of the executive recruiting lifecycle, from candidate identification to placement. This position involves working closely with our expert Search Partners and Principals (Consultants) and connecting with team members across all levels of the Search team. Associates will learn through hands-on experience and receive world-class training and mentorship in an apprenticeship-like model. The role requires assisting Consultants in all aspects of the recruitment process, including developing the search strategy, managing its execution, and supporting business development activities. The search process includes collaborating with clients to develop position specifications, interviewing and assessing candidates, building a pipeline of qualified candidates for active searches, developing candidate relationships, conducting candidate referencing, and assisting with client relationship management. Associates will invest significant time researching and learning about various industries, executive roles, and functions, collaborating with colleagues across the globe. This role is highly visible, carries significant responsibility, and offers an excellent, clearly defined career track. Key responsibilities include conducting industry-specific and client company research, supporting Consultants in developing position specifications and focused search strategies, and assisting in preparing business development and candidate assessment documents. The Associate will also manage candidate relationships throughout the search lifecycle, ensuring effective communication and updates to the Consultant. The role emphasizes collaboration, ethics, quality, and maintaining the integrity of all Search information in various internal and external research tools.
