About the position

The Executive Secretary & Administrative Assistant position at the State of New Mexico's Board of Nursing is designed to provide essential administrative support to the education and practice division. Responsibilities

  • Managing correspondence including emails, phone calls, and mail.
  • Scheduling and calendar management for appointments and meetings.
  • Data entry and record keeping, including maintaining databases and spreadsheets.
  • Providing general administrative support to staff and management.
  • Serving as a point of contact for clients, customers, and visitors.
  • Coordinating meeting logistics and taking meeting minutes.
  • Maintaining and updating contact lists and databases.
  • Preparing and formatting documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Conducting research and gathering information for reports and projects.
  • Assisting with special projects or initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months of related experience in office administration or customer service.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
