The Executive Secretary & Administrative Assistant position at the New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD) is designed to provide essential support to the Director and Deputy Director in their daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and managing correspondence. Responsibilities

  • Schedule and take minutes for meetings
  • Complete internal purchase requisitions and travel requests
  • Maintain staff roster
  • Answer main line and maintain mail
  • Track inventory and positions
  • Assist the Director and Deputy Director with day-to-day duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • One (1) year of related experience in office administration
  • Experience in customer service and serving client needs
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License
