About the position

The General Merchandise & Food Sales Executive Team Leader at Target is responsible for managing operations, ensuring product availability, and leading a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role focuses on driving sales growth, maintaining inventory accuracy, and fostering a culture centered on food safety and guest satisfaction. The Executive Team Leader will oversee various processes related to general merchandise and food sales, ensuring that the store meets its operational goals while providing a welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Drive total store sales and understand the role in sales growth.
  • Manage Food & Beverage, inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes.
  • Lead a team of experts in operations, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Enable efficient delivery to guests by leading pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.
  • Develop a strategy and utilize workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with the team to ensure task completion.
  • Manage all GM backroom and sales floor areas, reviewing reporting to identify gaps and develop plans to resolve them.
  • Oversee GM Team Leaders' workload planning including transitions and sales plans.
  • Drive fulfillment sales by leading the Fulfillment team to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Train, validate, and coach the team to deliver proper execution on food safety standards.
  • Create a guest-obsessed culture that prioritizes the guest experience.
  • Assess competition and leverage guest insights to drive business objectives.
  • Work a flexible schedule that aligns with guest and business needs.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to manage conflict and hold others accountable.
  • Ability to relate well with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis and decision making.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
