About the position

As the Executive Team Leader Human Resources at Target, you will play a pivotal role in championing change and building diverse and inclusive talent strategies that align with our guest-centric mission. In this role, you will lead and create a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience. You will model, train, and coach expectations to deliver the service standard while demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Your responsibilities will include driving total store sales, understanding your role in sales growth, and planning and leading organizational changes. You will also be tasked with anticipating changes in store trends, assessing competition, and leveraging guest insights to enhance the business. Your leadership will foster a culture where teams love to work and guests love to shop. You will recognize and reward outstanding guest-service behaviors, build teams committed to continuous learning, and support the leadership team in promoting a culture of inclusivity. Engaging with the community and addressing local needs will also be a key aspect of your role, as you leverage volunteerism to enhance brand awareness. As an Executive Team Leader, you will develop and coach your team leaders, establish accountability through clear expectations, and ensure compliance with ethical conduct and safety standards. You will also manage operational programs related to culture, pay, and rewards to maximize team member engagement and minimize disruptions to the business. Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with the store's community to address local needs.
  • Take an active role in the development of leaders to champion a guest-centric culture.
  • Lead an open-door culture where team members feel heard and issues are resolved quickly.
  • Support leadership with creating schedules that fit both guest and team member needs.
  • Decrease fluctuations within team member schedules by developing a staffing strategy.
  • Guide store leaders in hiring and onboarding talent with the right skills.
  • Develop a team of HR Experts and Team Leaders to solve problems and engage team members.
  • Plan and manage all team operational and cyclical programs related to culture, pay, and rewards.
  • Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Manage conflict, lead and hold others accountable
  • Relate well with and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis and decision making
  • Learn and adapt to current technology needs
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
