Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with multiple agents and brokers within an assigned territory.
• Provide specialized underwriting, insurance coverage, and risk management services.
• Collaborate with a team of Large Property underwriters to complete new and renewal business production underwriting.
• Service accounts and identify key property agents/brokers.
• Implement sales and marketing activities to support business growth.
• Demonstrate a strong customer focus and understanding of The Hartford's Large Property unit's appetite and strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• For Executive Underwriter: 5+ years of commercial property underwriting and marketing experience.
• For Senior Underwriter: 3+ years of commercial property underwriting and marketing experience.
• Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external business partners.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to think analytically about business problems and propose solutions.
• High energy self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Solid time, organizational, and desk management skills.
• Goal-oriented with a focus on delivering outcomes.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and compete to win.
• Superior technical knowledge and sound decision-making and analytical skills.
