About the position

Clark University is seeking a collaborative and innovative leader to serve as the Executive Vice President (EVP) and/or Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role involves providing strategic financial counsel, ensuring excellence in the execution of the University's financial affairs, and playing a key role in administrative management. The EVP will work closely with the president, provost, senior colleagues, and trustees to shape the vision and direction of the University, which is committed to advancing knowledge and addressing critical societal issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial counsel to the president and senior leadership.
• Oversee budgeting and financial planning for the University.
• Manage business services, controller and treasury functions, and human resources.
• Support integrated long-range financial, operational, capital, and facilities planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, including Title IX, and manage campus safety and legal services.
• Lead stewardship and management of all University assets.
• Support the recruitment and retention of high-caliber faculty and staff.
• Engage with the city of Worcester to advance community relations.

Requirements

• At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in higher education settings.
• Strong financial and administrative skills with a track record of success.
• Experience in managing complex financial operations and strategic planning.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.
