About the position

The position is responsible for overseeing the planning, administration, operation, and performance of multiple divisions within GROWMARK, including Energy, Crop Nutrients, Crop Protection, Seed, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Enterprise Marketing. The role involves strategic decision-making, aligning divisions with enterprise goals, and driving an efficient supply chain. The individual will participate in executive leadership meetings and report to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Align Wholesale Divisions with the enterprise strategy by ensuring business objectives and operational practices are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Engage in corporate decision-making and strategic planning as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Direct all activities of assigned Divisions, including formulation of objectives, strategic plans, and policies.
  • Drive enterprise brand and product marketing strategy by overseeing collaboration among business unit leaders.
  • Direct the development of marketing, research, and operating plans, including distribution systems to reach targeted markets.
  • Direct the development and selection of appropriate product lines for assigned Divisions, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Analyze product and distribution costs and recommend actions to improve cost versus benefit relationships.
  • Direct the strategy for procurement, processing, and distribution of assigned products to achieve minimum cost.
  • Direct the operations of assigned Company facilities and equipment to achieve minimum unit cost while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Innovation on strategic discussions and pilot projects related to innovation.
  • Represent the corporation on various boards and committees as directed.
  • Participate in Quarterly Shareholder updates and lead all-employee meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 12 or more years of related experience in energy, agronomy, and logistics business leadership.
  • High level of proficiency in business financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies including character, interpersonal skills, and execution.
  • Understanding of energy, agronomy, and logistics-related areas including marketing strategy and compliance.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills, including staffing and performance evaluation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, persuasion, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated planning, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proven team-building skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to enhance business processes with technology.
  • Valid driver's license and passport; ability to travel domestically and internationally.
