About the position
The University of Louisville is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to fill the role of Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer (EVP/CFO). This position is crucial for overseeing the university's financial operations, managing a substantial operational budget, and supporting the institution's strategic goals. The EVP/CFO will work closely with the university's leadership and health system to enhance financial planning, reporting, and management, ensuring the university's mission is fulfilled effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the financial units of the University of Louisville.
- Oversee the management of a $1.7 billion operational budget.
- Communicate financial goals and opportunities to the university community.
- Ensure effective financial planning and reporting, cash management, and budget oversight.
- Collaborate with UofL Health and the School of Medicine on financial matters.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the President, Board, and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- 10 or more years of relevant experience in fiscal and administrative roles.
- Significant experience in complex academic settings, particularly in public higher education institutions.
- Strong financial management skills and familiarity with research universities.
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong track record of team leadership.
