About the position

The Executive Vice President of Operations at Printing United Alliance is responsible for providing overall operational direction to key shared services, including Information Technology, Digital Strategy, Audience Development, and Advertising Operations. This role involves managing a team of approximately 20 employees, including 4 direct reports, and acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior management. The position focuses on leading organizational change initiatives, implementing new processes, and ensuring the alignment of operational strategies with the company's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on and contribute to key business decisions.
  • Lead the development of strategic initiatives and long-term goals.
  • Oversee integration activities for company acquisitions.
  • Manage Information Technology, Digital Strategy, Audience Development, and Advertising Operations functions.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor teams to deliver results.
  • Develop clear objectives and priorities for each department.
  • Create accountability systems for tracking and achieving objectives.
  • Maintain robust business systems and intelligence tools, integrating AI capabilities.
  • Drive business process improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to the company's business processes.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and advise on strategic adjustments.
  • Collaborate with other business units to solve problems and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive operations experience managing teams and projects.
  • Experience in a senior-level operations position for a small to mid-market company or a business unit of a larger company.
  • Experience in the B2B services space is necessary; experience in printing/marketing/advertising is ideal but not required.
  • Ability to blend strategic and operational requirements effectively.
  • Outstanding organizational leadership skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to focus on outcomes under shifting timelines and hold others accountable.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build structure and develop processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the printing/marketing/advertising/exhibitions industry.
