About the position

The Expanded Learning Coordinator at Children's Home Society of Florida is responsible for coordinating and overseeing extended learning and enrichment programs related to Community Partnership Schools. This role contributes to the organization's high-performance culture by ensuring quality results and promoting proactive behavioral health and community solutions for children and families. The coordinator will manage various educational programs, maintain participant records, and foster partnerships with community organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the collaborative process for Community Partnership School-related extended learning and enrichment programs.
  • Develop and implement before-, during-, and after-school programs.
  • Maintain sign-in logs and participant files with all required paperwork.
  • Oversee facility management including custodial, safety, classroom, security, and transportation.
  • Maintain accurate distribution and accounting of the feeding/snack program.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations, school staff, and other collaborators.
  • Coordinate evaluation processes, including surveys of students, parents, and staff.
  • Facilitate regular after-school meetings and professional development.
  • Assist with general clerical office tasks as needed.
  • Maintain files and records as required; maintain program statistics and prepare reports.
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist in after-school programming.
  • Serve as point of contact for all extended day services and programs under the YMCA contract.
  • Provide direct supervision to the on-site YMCA after-school program.
  • Attend monthly YMCA leadership meetings and required annual trainings.
  • Facilitate staffing and enrichment activities for the on-site YMCA Before & After School Program.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited university strongly preferred; OR Bachelor's degree in Education or Human Services field from an accredited university.
  • Florida Driver's License within 30 days from hire is required, along with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a school or community agency setting required.
  • One year of experience implementing or supervising a positive learning environment preferred.
