The Expanded Learning Program Instructor at Bay Area Community Resources is a part-time role focused on leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities for youth in an afterschool setting. The instructor will mentor up to 20 students, fostering a safe and supportive environment while promoting learning and development. Responsibilities
- Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment.
- Create, plan, and execute lesson plans that support school day learning.
- Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development through a youth-driven curriculum.
- Model BACR Best Practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or an Associate's degree, or 48 or more college units.
- Must pass criminal background check and TB test clearance.
- Available Monday through Friday for 21 hours per week, afternoons until 6 pm.
- Ability to reliably commute to El Cerrito.
- Commitment to social justice and leadership.
- Passionate about learning and youth development for K-12.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
