About the position

This position focuses on providing efficient and compliant expatriate tax services, leveraging strong accounting and finance knowledge along with analytical and communication skills. The role involves collaboration with Finance and HR teams to support expatriate tax services, payroll reporting, and tax equalization processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of expatriate tax services, payroll reporting, and tax equalization settlement funding services in collaboration with Finance and HR teams.
• Facilitate the collection and resolution of expatriate tax receivables and analyze the general ledger for required journal entries.
• Assist in the communication, collection, and analysis of benefits-in-kind and home country payroll from reporting units.
• Support the implementation of changes to expatriate tax policy and procedures.
• Provide expatriate tax advice and tax equalization policy interpretation to internal contacts and expatriates.
• Execute tax equalization processes supporting expatriates to and from Canada.
• Participate in Finance and HR projects, including the deployment of new technology systems (e.g. SAP, Workday and/or Global Mobility Technology tool).
• Support the day-to-day relationships with vendors, including policy application, process improvements, and employee escalations.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in payroll tax or individual tax
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Expatriate Tax Technical Skills
• Experience working with Global Mobility or Global employers
• Experience working with Tax Equalization settlements
• Active CPA
• Expatriate Tax experience in both public accounting and industry accounting
