About The Position

Adient Aerospace is seeking an Expeditor to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the manufacturing process. This role is essential for ensuring that parts shortages are addressed promptly to meet production schedules, contributing to operational excellence and superior customer experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of direct experience in a related role.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between Work Centers.
• Provide status of backorder parts required for production during daily shortage meetings.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, and Support departments to expedite parts shortages.
• Monitor rejection, scrap, and rework of parts and take necessary actions to resolve issues.
• Pay backorders in the production floor from inventory and update pull kits with correct lot numbers.
• Work with Production, Quality, Planning, and Engineering to resolve material problems during manufacturing.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with packaging instructions.
• Drive between the warehouse and production floor to facilitate material distribution.
• Maintain a safe and legal work environment, adhering to company policies.
