The position is for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal at a personal injury law firm in El Paso, TX. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of personal injury experience and involves various legal tasks to support attorneys in managing personal injury cases effectively.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of pleadings including deposition notices, subpoenas, and motions.
• Ensure the process of serving pleadings is completed by a process server.
• Compile answers to interrogatories and responses to production requests through file review and client interviews.
• Review contracts, prepare billings, waivers, and other legal documents.
• Analyze pleadings, contracts, and discovery to assist attorneys in legal actions.
• Conduct selective legal research and summarize cases.
• Knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and managing discovery processes.
• Maintain calendar and case docketing system.
• Review and summarize depositions.
• Attend pre-trial and trials, assisting with void dire and exhibits.
• Assist in the preparation, filing, and service of legal documents.
• Prepare correspondence, status reports, and pre-trial reports for clients.
• Prepare attorneys for hearings and depositions with necessary documents.
• E-file legal documents and monitor record orders.
• Prepare draft jury charges, witness lists, and deposition designations.
• Assist with deposition and litigation preparation.
• Save documents and calendar deadlines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Paralegal experience in personal injury
• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification with relevant experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and database management
• Bilingual in Spanish
