About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrician to join our team at South Power Electrical Contractors. This full-time position focuses on setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure primarily in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality work and a desire to contribute to a company that values its employees and fosters a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Perform general electrical maintenance.
- Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Install new, repair or replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
- Follow National Electrical Code and state and local building regulations.
- Conduct circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
- Utilize various test equipment for troubleshooting.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment.
- Work as a team member or independently to complete projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical devices and systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
