About the position

The Bookkeeper / Office Assistant position at NC Comfort Systems involves managing financial records and providing customer service support. This role is essential for maintaining accurate bookkeeping systems while also assisting customers and handling various office administration tasks. The ideal candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and passionate about both bookkeeping and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial records and ensure accurate bookkeeping systems.
  • Process transactions and maintain internal controls.
  • Handle accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) functions.
  • Perform payroll duties and reconciliations.
  • Answer phones and assist customers as part of the customer service team.
  • Support service call bookings and other office administration tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Expertise in QuickBooks.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with A/P, A/R, payroll, and basic business bookkeeping requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Service Titan is preferred.
  • Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or construction trade is a plus.
