The Experienced Cannabis Retail Consultant (Budtender) position at Urbana involves providing exceptional customer service in a cannabis dispensary and lounge setting. Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored cannabis recommendations.
- Educate customers about cannabis products and their effects.
- Handle cash transactions and operate point of sale systems efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and education about cannabis and customer service.
- Support team members and contribute to a positive work culture.
Requirements
- Age 21 or over
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years previous experience as a Consultant/Budtender in a busy cannabis dispensary or 1-2 years previous experience in hospitality or retail banking
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience with retail/hospitality point of sale systems and cash handling
- Must be computer friendly: Microsoft Word/Excel experience required
- Ability to lift bins of inventory, bend and stand for extended periods of time
- Willing to work days and weekends with a flexible work schedule
- Professional and personable demeanor
- Positive, can-do attitude, solution-based thinker, organized and results-driven
- A genuine interest in helping people
