The Experienced Caregiver (HHA/PCA) position at TheKey involves providing high-quality home care services to aging seniors in Shirley, NY, and surrounding areas. Caregivers are expected to be compassionate and dedicated, ensuring a supportive environment for seniors.
Responsibilities
- Help execute comprehensive personalized weekly schedules and care plans.
- Complete Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in a safe and professional manner.
- Supply personal companionship, remaining actively engaged with each client by providing ongoing social & emotional support.
- Assist with personal care activities to include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding and meal preparation.
- Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed.
- Perform administrative functions such as documentation of completion of tasks and report changes in the client's physical condition, mental capability, or behavior.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional caregiver experience.
- Valid NY Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) Certification.
- Proof of a valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
- Open availability strongly preferred.
- TB Screening/PPD and/or Chest X-Ray.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
