About the position

We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Tarzana, CA. This position is a contract role that offers the possibility of a hybrid in-office and remote work arrangement. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in civil litigation and will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks under the supervision of an attorney. The role requires exceptional research skills and proficiency with California state and federal court rules and procedures, as well as electronic court filings and basic legal procedures. The candidate will be tasked with drafting, revising, and proofreading correspondence and other legal documents, creating and maintaining client files, managing attorneys' calendars, answering phones, entering attorneys' time, assisting with billing, and performing other administrative tasks as needed. A high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills are essential for success in this position. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional client service orientation, sound judgment, reliability, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable multi-tasking and working for different attorneys, possess a positive “will-do” work ethic, and be able to remain focused amidst competing priorities. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams) is required, and familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw is a plus, though not mandatory. Excellent grammar, writing, and editing skills are also necessary. Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience, with a salary range of $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year, and the work schedule is Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
