About the position

The Experienced Civil - Site Drafter / Designer will work closely with civil engineers to support substation and transmission site development projects. This role involves creating detailed site plans, grading and drainage plans, and development details, with a strong emphasis on precision and attention to detail. The position may allow for remote work depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site design drawings, models of site plans, grading and drainage drawings, and site details with a high degree of precision.
• Develop and manage AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and standards for client-specific projects.
• Ensure engineering design details are properly represented for the development of greenfield substations and site expansion projects for existing substations.
• Exercise good judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on survey results.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Engineering Tech or CAD related scientific/technical discipline preferred; High School diploma required.
• CAD certificate and additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• BS Degree in a technical discipline preferred; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in site development.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MicroStation drawing creation.
