About the position

The Experienced Class A Truck Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of customer and dealer-owned agricultural equipment. This role involves performing basic truck repairs and maintenance while utilizing transport scheduling software to manage loads efficiently. The driver acts independently but may require some guidance from the Service Supervisor or Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports equipment to and from customer, manufacturer or dealership locations according to priority.
• Utilizes transport software to efficiently manage and coordinate loads.
• Provides detailed documentation of loads, billing, and regulatory purposes for all loads.
• Performs basic truck or trailer repairs as identified or assigned by the Service Supervisor or Service Manager.
• Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers and communicates clearly regarding the timing of deliveries.
• Supports a safe work environment by maintaining the condition of the transport equipment, tools, and chains/binders, and communicates safety hazards with management.

Requirements

• California Class A Truck Driving License required with a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills are a must.
• Ability to operate a variety of agricultural and construction equipment safely.
• Flatbed equipment tie-down knowledge and experience.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and the ability to apply to repairs.
