About the position
The Experienced Diesel Equipment Technician at KanEquip, Inc. is responsible for servicing and repairing agricultural and construction equipment. This full-time position requires diagnosing equipment issues, performing various repairs, and ensuring quality work while promoting teamwork and communication within the service team.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose equipment to determine necessary repairs for reliability.
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and diesel repairs on equipment.
- Complete all reports and forms for service operations accurately and timely.
- Promote teamwork and effective communication with team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, service technician, field technician, or heavy equipment technician.
- Mechanic toolset appropriate for required work.
- Knowledge and experience of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle status.
- Associates of Applied Science or Certification in Diesel Technology, Agricultural Power/Technology or Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in electrical systems.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used in service shops.
- Ability to work extended hours during the week or weekends.
