About the position

Encino Energy is seeking to hire a Division Order Analyst. The position reports to the Division Order Supervisor. The Division Order Analyst will prepare, maintain, update and evaluate the division of interest for operated and non-operated properties for the company. Responsibilities include working independently with minimal supervision; communicate effectively with the accounting group regarding changes to existing division of interest; work diligently to maintain division of interest to ensure all royalties and revenues are paid correctly; demonstrate the ability to analyze, problem solve and resolve issues effectively; and prioritize and timely manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain divisions of interest from DOTO and other title opinions for joint interest billing and revenue decks including burden groups, BPO, and APO decks, as needed, for operated interests in a timely manner so revenues are distributed within state and federal statutes
  • Generate division orders, amended division orders, and transfer orders on newly drilled wells and processed transfers of interest
  • Analyze and interpret the provisions of leases, assignments, probate documents, contracts, legal decrees, division orders, joint operating agreements, contracts and other similar and related legal documents conveying title to oil and gas properties as those provisions apply to the creation and maintenance of division of interests
  • Review title opinions, unitization orders and pooling declarations as they apply to the creation and maintenance of division of interest
  • Coordinate the curing of title requirements with in-house and field Landmen; obtain curative documents
  • Process WI and RI ownership changes
  • Resolve WI interest owner communications, payment and other land-related inquiries of medium complexity
  • Communicate and interact effectively with internal counterparts in Land, Accounting and Operations
  • Communicate externally with royalty owners (including State and Federal agencies) and working interest partners
  • Establish and maintain effective industry relationships
  • Perform various data entry tasks
  • Attend continuing education as needed
  • Other duties as assigned which may include but are not limited to due diligence as it applies to acquisitions and divestitures

Requirements

  • High proficiency in mainstream Land Systems such as Quorum or ability to learn Land System quickly with provided training
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven interpersonal, written and oral communication, organization, recordkeeping, analytical and problem-solving skills are required
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently
  • Must be willing to participate in a team environment
  • Self-discipline and a strong work ethic
  • Experience with the Utica Basin preferred
