Responsibilities

• Thoroughly bathe dogs in preparation for grooming.
• Deshed dogs to remove excess fur using deshedding tools.
• Identify matting and de-mat as needed.
• Handle general grooming tasks such as nail trimming, filing, gland expression, and teeth brushing.
• Use hand-held high velocity dryers while handling dogs.
• Provide top quality customer service through a positive attitude and efficient communication.
• Ensure bathing areas are sanitized and stocked with needed supplies.
• Maintain bathing and grooming areas tidy at all times.
• Clean up after dogs who cause accidents.
• Engage in daily duties with team members to ensure cleanliness of bathing/daycare areas.
• Notify groomers of any concerns regarding pets, including skin abnormalities, ear infections, ticks, and fleas.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior bathing experience.
• Ability to handle dogs of all temperaments and sizes with confidence.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills.
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus.
