About the position

This position is part of Cargill's protein and salt business, focusing on the safe and effective operation of maintenance tools and equipment to ensure high-quality food production. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, understanding mechanical and electrical schematics, and adhering to safety regulations while contributing to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities

• Effectively and safely operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, and basic electrical testing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance up to and including Annual PM's.
• Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics without issue.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations as well as other departmental policies and procedures.
• Help to develop proper safety techniques.
• Acquire planned materials, tools, and documentation for planned work, and work order information for reactive work.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Able to read, write, and speak in English.
• Have 2-4 years' industrial maintenance electrician experience or a minimum 7-month technical training.
• Be able to perform basic math.

Nice-to-haves

• Previously worked in a food processing environment.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems without schematics.
• Ability to program PLC systems.
