The Experienced EVS Aide position at Ochsner Health involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various areas including guest, patient, public, clinical, and administrative spaces. The role is essential in ensuring a safe and aseptic environment for both patients and staff, contributing to the overall quality of care provided by the healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services assigned areas to maintain a clean and aseptic environment.
• Maintains environmental closet and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Assists with restocking of cafe and bar as necessary.
• Participates in special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows Joint Commission and CMS regulations regarding Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements.
• Remains knowledgeable about federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and understand verbal communication in English to follow instructions and perform daily tasks.
• Experience in operating environmental services equipment such as dust mops, wet mops, and spray bottles.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning equipment/supplies.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.
