About the position
The F-18 Avionics/Electricians/Armament position at Boeing involves working on military fighter aircraft maintenance, specifically at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in New Orleans. Responsibilities
- Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components.
- Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul of aerospace vehicles.
- Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- Troubleshoots complex hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
- Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
- Oversees training of personnel.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance.
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals.
