About the position

The Sign Production Specialist/Installer position at FC Royce Enterprises, Inc. is a full-time role that involves working closely with a senior team member to manage the physical production of signs. This includes a variety of tasks such as sign assembly, which requires preparing substrates and utilizing the appropriate machines and techniques to construct products according to detailed written instructions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, sign production, and installation, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, including the Epson Surecolor S60600 Vinyl Printer, Mimaki Plotter CG160FX2, and KalaMistrial Laminator. You will also be expected to prepare signs for printing, cutting, and routing, as well as install signs, both vinyl and dimensional letters, to various surfaces. Quality checks against proofs and customer requirements are essential to ensure that the final product meets the expected standards. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work alongside customer service representatives and graphic designers to complete orders accurately and on time. Additionally, you will be required to report inventory levels and stock that needs to be reordered, consult with customers when necessary, and act as a backup designer and customer service representative when needed. Responsibilities

  • Prepare substrates for vinyl application including cutting, plotting, printing, weeding, painting, laminating, and cleaning.
  • Install signs, both vinyl and dimensional letters, to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Perform quality checks against proofs and customer requirements to ensure products are made correctly.
  • Work collaboratively with customer service representatives and graphic designers to complete orders accurately and on time.
  • Report inventory levels and stock that needs to be reordered to the franchisee.
  • Consult and interface with customers when required.
  • Act as a backup designer and customer service representative when needed, with training provided.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sign installation.
  • 2+ years of experience in sign production.
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design with training in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a full-service vinyl sign shop.
  • Ability to design, produce, and install signs with minimal training and supervision.
