About the position

The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk team at the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest relations and services. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage front desk operations effectively, enhance guest experiences, and maintain high service standards while leading by example.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of front desk staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide outstanding guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently while maintaining accurate records.
  • Oversee night audit processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate front desk personnel to promote professional development.
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests by upholding hospitality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall guest experience.
  • Find coverage for anyone who calls out and/or covers the shift themselves.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a front desk or guest services role within the hotel or resort industry is essential.
  • Strong background in hospitality management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with night audit procedures is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette and guest relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
