The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and employee management, with the ability to handle various HR tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can support the HR department in ensuring smooth and effective business operations. The Human Resources Generalist will play a crucial role in managing the full-cycle recruitment process, addressing employee inquiries, ensuring compliance with employment laws, overseeing benefits administration, and assisting in performance management and employee development. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and updating HR policies, coordinating training sessions, maintaining accurate employee records, and preparing HR metrics and reports to support decision-making processes. This position is essential for fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that the HR department operates effectively to support the overall goals of A & Associates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Address employee inquiries and issues, mediate conflicts, and ensure a positive work environment.
  • Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs, including enrollment, claims resolution, and communication of benefits information.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal programs and employee development plans.
  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and conduct employee training sessions and orientation programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, with a strong understanding of HR practices and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
