About the position

NEA is seeking an experienced Infant Assistant Teacher who possesses a patient and nurturing personality, is highly organized, dependable, and creative. The role involves assisting the lead teacher in implementing NEA's educational program, which is designed to meet the individual needs of children. The ideal candidate will interact with children to support their play and exploration, ensuring that they are supervised at all times. Additionally, the assistant teacher will help maintain organized and clean classrooms, fostering a friendly and approachable environment for children, staff, and families alike. This position is full-time, requiring an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday. The work location is at 1957 North Fairfield Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647. The successful candidate will be expected to engage actively with children, providing support and encouragement in their learning and development. The role is crucial in creating a safe and stimulating environment that promotes the growth and well-being of infants in a private school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teacher in implementing NEA's educational program
  • Meet the individual needs of the children

Requirements

  • Valid Child Development Associate Certification (preferred)
  • CPR Certification (preferred)
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • 1-2 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (preferred)

  • Experience in teaching
  • Ability to relocate to Chicago, IL 60647 before starting work
