About the position

The Allen Law Firm, P.A. is seeking an Experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our award-winning team in Gainesville, FL. This full-time position is ideal for a motivated individual with 2-3+ years of experience in litigation support. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting our attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, from the initial case inception to resolution. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough legal research, drafting and proofreading various legal documents, and managing case files to ensure that all aspects of the case are meticulously prepared and organized. In this fast-paced and professional environment, you will work closely with clients, witnesses, and experts, providing excellent care and service. Your ability to communicate effectively with defense counsel, judges, insurance adjusters, and medical providers will be essential. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word and Outlook, and being bilingual in Spanish is a plus. You will be expected to handle a caseload efficiently, meet deadlines, and assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions. Your duties will also involve organizing and managing case files, preparing and filing court documents in compliance with court rules, and coordinating depositions and court appearances. Additionally, you will assist in trial preparation by creating exhibits, organizing evidence, and managing trial logistics. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motions.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, court appearances, and meetings.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and coordinate case activities.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including creating exhibits, organizing evidence, and managing trial logistics.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor's degree, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
