About the position
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of lock mechanisms, security systems, and key cutting techniques. As a Locksmith, you will be responsible for providing high-quality locksmith services to our clients, ensuring their safety and security through expert installation, repair, and maintenance of locks and security systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks and locking mechanisms for residential and commercial properties.
- Respond to emergency lockout situations promptly and effectively.
- Cut keys using key cutting machines and ensure precision in key duplication.
- Conduct security assessments to recommend appropriate locking systems for clients.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to test electrical components of electronic locks.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Keep accurate records of services performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
- Stay updated on the latest locksmithing techniques, tools, and technologies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using locksmithing tools and equipment, including key cutting machines and ohmmeters.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot lock-related issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in installations and repairs.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and providing clear explanations of services offered.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of various lock types, security systems, and industry standards is preferred.
