About the position

The Patient Care Associate plays a vital role in the operations of the medical practice by managing the front desk, welcoming patients, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. This position requires strong organizational skills to schedule and confirm appointments accurately, handle high-volume calls, and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Host the front lobby and welcome patients.
• Check patients in and out while verifying their information according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for the medical practice.
• Handle high-volume calls and manage patient schedules per care plan.
• Schedule follow-up medical appointments.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and customer service.
• Maintain confidentiality when managing patient data.
• Communicate professionally with patients via phone or email.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience handling high-volume calls.
• Ability to manage patient schedules effectively.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual (preferred but not required).
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (highly preferred but not required).
