About the position

The Payroll Manager is responsible for processing payroll for the corporate office and its affiliate entities, ensuring accurate salary allocations and payroll reimbursements. This role serves as a resource for corporate staff regarding payroll-related inquiries and requires expertise in payroll software and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a resource expert to corporate staff on questions related to payroll, payroll taxes, allocations, and reimbursements.
  • Managing payroll-related updates in the HR/Payroll database including taxes, direct deposits, and employee self-service access to paystubs/W-2.
  • Processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments.
  • Responsible for payroll record keeping (payroll reports, timesheets, changes in taxes and direct deposit) and maintenance of payroll records.
  • Running benefit accrual (time off balances) reports for reconciliation and General Ledger.
  • Responding effectively to confidential compensation-related inquiries.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience with payroll software such as ADP, GREAT PLAINS, Paychex, and Kronos.
  • Advanced understanding of payroll processing software with experience in implementation a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree required in Business or related field.
