About the position
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at one of the top pediatric practices in the area. The ideal candidate will be a positive, high-energy, and friendly individual with strong clinical skills and a passion for working with children. This role involves assisting doctors in various dental procedures and providing health education to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Doctors with clinical procedures.
- Provide patient health education to children and parents.
- Perform oral prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, sealants, and seated dental appliances.
- Acquire, develop, and interpret Panoramic, Bite-wing, Periapical, and Occlusal radiographs.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Responsible for sterilization of instruments.
- Travel between offices 20-30 minutes apart.
Requirements
- Prior pediatric experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Dentrix or Open Dental is a plus.
- Valid Registered Dental Assistant license is required.
- X-Ray Certification is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience.
