About the position
The Experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to children in a friendly and supportive environment. This position involves assisting dentists with various clinical tasks, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable, and possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and their parents.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Doctors with clinical procedures.
- Provide patient health education to children and parents.
- Perform oral prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, sealants, and seated dental appliances.
- Acquire, develop, and interpret Panoramic, Bite-wing, Periapical, and Occlusal radiographs.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Responsible for sterilization of instruments.
Requirements
- Prior pediatric experience is preferred.
- Registered Dental Assistant certification required.
- X-Ray Certification required.
- 1 year of dental assisting experience required.
- Knowledge of Dentrix or Open Dental is a plus.
