About the position

The Personal Injury Legal Assistant position at an established New York firm is designed for a bilingual (Spanish/English) professional with experience in handling personal injury cases. Responsibilities

• Handle Personal Injury cases independently
• Manage Spanish-speaking client communications
• Process new Bodily Injury claims
• File No-Fault applications
• Prepare settlement packages
• Process loss wage claims
• Manage property damage claims
• Handle regular mailings/shipping via: US Post Office, FedEx, UPS
• Draft complaints for various personal injury cases including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, animal attacks, product liability, medical/dental malpractice, assault/battery cases, and false arrest claims.

Requirements

• Fluent in Spanish and English (bilingual)
• Minimum 2 years of Personal Injury case handling experience
• Associate Degree or higher
• Legal authorization to work in the US
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally

Nice-to-haves

• Notary Public certification preferred
