About the position
As a PHP/MySQL Developer at PAYCE Technology, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications tailored for the parking industry. This role involves transforming client-specific feature requests into scalable, cloud-based solutions and enhancing existing applications to ensure high performance and user satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain an existing web application utilized by a large user base.
- Analyze and translate client-specific feature requests into multi-tenant, cloud-based implementations.
- Develop and maintain back-end functionality using PHP and MySQL.
- Design and implement database schemas for scalability and performance.
- Create dynamic, user-friendly front-end interactions using jQuery and native JavaScript.
- Deploy and manage applications in an AWS environment.
- Collaborate with the team through version control workflows in BitBucket.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure high performance.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to continually enhance your work.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development.
- Strong proficiency with MySQL database design and query optimization.
- Expertise in jQuery and native JavaScript for creating dynamic, interactive front-end features.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in AWS.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly BitBucket.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to transform client-specific feature requests into scalable solutions for multi-tenant cloud environments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be willing to work as a W-2 employee (1099 arrangements will not be considered).
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
