About the position

The Experienced Project Manager for General Contractor role involves overseeing and managing construction projects primarily in the West Sonoma County area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction and project management, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining project budgets. This position requires effective communication and relationship-building skills with clients, team members, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job meetings with site supervisors, construction crew, subcontractors, owners, and architects.
• Maintain job cost budgets and communicate project timelines to field personnel.
• Work closely with subcontractors on schedules and execute subcontractor agreements.
• Order materials and manage change orders, ensuring adherence to building codes and inspections.
• Monitor quality and accuracy of work, and solve problems as they arise.
• Manage project documentation and ensure proper approvals and signatures are obtained.
• Set up and maintain project information records, including drawings, specifications, and logs.
• Plan and execute the project close-out process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of project management and budgeting processes in construction.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Reliable transportation.

• Bilingual skills are a bonus.
• Field experience in construction is a plus.
