About the position

As a SolidWorks CAD Drafter at Nona Tools, you will be responsible for creating detailed dimensional drawings and 3D models for our product line. You will work closely with our engineering and sourcing teams to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of designs. Proficiency in 3D printing, specifically FDM and SLA printing, is preferred as it plays a crucial role in our prototyping process. Your role will involve developing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, creating and updating technical drawings with precise dimensional accuracy, and collaborating with engineering to refine designs and ensure manufacturability. You will also be tasked with accurately measuring and recreating complex geometries in SolidWorks, utilizing SolidWorks surfacing and sheet metal tools as needed for specific projects, and managing and maintaining design files using SolidWorks PDM. Additionally, you will perform quality control tasks to ensure incoming products meet the specifications outlined in the drawings and document and report any discrepancies or issues with incoming products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.

  • Document and report any discrepancies or issues with incoming products.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in CAD drafting using SolidWorks.
  • Proficient in creating detailed dimensional drawings and complex 3D models.
  • Experience with FDM and SLA 3D printing technology.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials, particularly plastics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM.
