As an Experienced Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and businesses. You will assist with client relationships and communications, research and formulate technical positions, and prepare tax planning and projections. Additionally, you will help develop and coach Staff Accountants and Interns to ensure accurate tax preparation and acceptable interpersonal interactions. Compliance with tax matters associated with corporations, LLCs, S-Corporations, and individual tax returns is also a key part of this role. You will perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the firm. Responsibilities

  • Prepares and reviews federal, state, and local income tax returns.
  • Assists with client relationships and communications.
  • Researches and formulates technical positions.
  • Prepares tax planning and projections.
  • Helps develop and coach Staff Accountants and Interns to ensure accurate tax preparation and acceptable interpersonal interactions.
  • Complies with tax matters associated with corporations, LLCs, S-Corporations, and individual tax returns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience.
  • CPA or EA certification is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including proficient use of all Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with CCH products is a plus.
