This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, assisting clients with tax-related inquiries, and providing bookkeeping services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns
• Answer client calls and respond to client e-mails
• Assist in responding to tax agency notices and recommend solutions to resolve tax issues
• Perform bookkeeping services as needed
• Conduct tax planning for clients

Requirements

• 3 years of tax preparation experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Experience with QuickBooks and Ultra Tax software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with tax planning and projections
• Ability to download and upload digital documents to client portals
