About the position
Westat is seeking experienced transportation survey data analysts to assist with state and national household travel surveys. The role involves utilizing Survey Management Systems and GIS-based information to audit and analyze location data collected through travel surveys. This position requires onsite work in Atlanta, GA, particularly during training periods, and is not fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Using Survey Management Systems to review submitted information based on specific project protocols.
- Using GIS-based information to audit location data and related information collected through the travel survey instrument.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience and interest in geospatial data collection, processing, and analysis.
- Familiarity with web-based mapping interfaces such as Google Maps.
- A high school diploma or a degree in a GIS-related field of study is required.
- Prior Westat transportation study experience is required.
Nice-to-haves
- A strong working memory and attention to detail.
- Analytical (logic) skills preferred.
- Fluent with computers, with the ability to quickly navigate between multiple browser tabs and windows to compare data.
