About the position

Chalmers Ford is seeking a dynamic Used Car Acquisition Assistant to manage the sales and inventory of pre-owned vehicles. This role involves working closely with the Used Car Director to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize profitability through effective sales strategies and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sales process for used cars, including pricing, negotiations, and closing deals
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory and availability
• Implement effective strategies for inventory control, auction buying and management of recon and all used car issues
• Provide sales support to the sales team and assist in outside sales efforts
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and preferences in acquisitions and purchases of used cars
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing
• Ensure a high level of customer service throughout the sales process

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a Used Car Buyer/Acquisition
• 2 years of experience in inventory management
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory effectively
• Proficiency in PWR (Reynolds), V Auto, Ove and Manheim
• Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
• Experience in retail sales, particularly in automotive or related industries
• Knowledge of inventory management practices for used vehicles
