About the position

The Experienced Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for welding stainless, aluminum, and steel related projects, as well as fabricating to complete assigned jobs. The role involves building projects according to specified drawings and may require onsite or field work as requested. The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime on Fridays if required.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Shop Lead & Shop Manager
  • Weld Steel, Aluminum and Stainless Steel
  • Proficient welding in Mig, Tig, and Arc
  • Keep a clean and organized work environment
  • Receive and communicate essential information, coordinate actions, obtain input, review open issues, and action items, and contribute information to the team
  • Weld components in all positions: flat, vertical, and overhead
  • Effectively manage an area in the shop and work well with others
  • Manages assigned welding jobs and completes them on time
  • Depending on projects, may require working off site for install support of the equipment manufactured.

Requirements

  • Able to follow instructions
  • Willing to work in cold, dusty, and uncomfortable conditions
  • A sense of urgency and self-motivation
  • Ability to participate in a group planning environment
  • Excels in one or more of the following: Fabrication, Mechanical, Assembly and installation, Electrical
  • Patient and able to collaborate extremely well with customers
  • Able to represent Source Engineering on and off site
  • Excels at welding and understands structural properties
  • Basic understanding of all equipment in shop
  • Can perform basic tasks including measuring, milling, and cutting with shop tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications
  • Knowledge of specific welding processes: TIG, MIG, and ARC
  • Skills in both verbal and written communication
  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, walk and perform repetitious movement
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Must be drug free
  • Able to pass a class C health exam to operate Source Engineering's mobile service truck
